Artist's Statement
The ecosystems are disintegrating from the palms of our hands… Through various mediums like paint, tufting, embroidery I weave narratives that explore the intricate relationship between nature, vulnerability, and loss. Tufting has been a particular focus, allowing me to create textile sculptures and installations and in the recent year I’ve been experimenting more with a “freestyle/blind” embroidery style. Sustainability and circularity guide my process, using deadstock yarn and repurposing scraps.
