I am a contemporary realist painter residing in Sonoma County. My work explores the interplay of light, shadow, color and form in landscapes and architectural structures, often with the subtext of isolation. Balancing a modern approach to composition while minimizing nostalgia, I use my graphic experience and photographic skills to reimagine my subjects with a strong structural sense of place, omitting and altering details to achieve flat planes of color.

My paintings are heavily influenced by my previous career as an art director for film and multimedia companies, as well as work as a graphic artist for album and product design. Since moving from LA to the Bay Area, my paintings have been purchased for private collections in the U.S. and exhibited in galleries in the SF/Bay Area. I was recently selected for the prestigious 2023 de Young Open in San Francisco.
