Carolyn Lord’s artwork is influenced by the California Watercolor Style of bold color and strong design, the spontaneity of plein air painting’s subject matter, and tempered by atelier drawing lessons. The ridgelines and sloped roofs of this townhouse complex create an geometric expression of a landscape, reminding me of the undulating lines of the low-rise hills surrounding Livermore.
