About The Artist
Sandcastles at the New Jersey shore were my playground of imagination. I graduated from Arizona State University with a BFA in Environmental Design, after which I explored the world with my husband, including living and working as a television set designer in Johannesburg, South Africa. In San Francisco I worked as an interior designer. Returning to painting, my studio is in the historic “ICB” in Sausalito.
Artist's Statement
The Road to Giza series including 50 Max, is a revisit of my childhoods early exotic fascination and first visit to Egypt in 1974—with a recent 2023 exploration. My past travels with my husband, our keen interest in photography along with continuing worldwide expeditions to distant locales have contributed to my firsthand appreciation of the art and history of many cultures.
