About The Artist
Art has always been an inspiration, a vocation and wondrous joy in my life. For twenty-five years I taught children art everyday, as well as an adult watercolor class on Saturdays. My incentive was always to make everyone appreciate and improve their art skills. This same motivation has been the driving force in my own work. Always learning, always trying to improve, always creating new work with strong composition and strong value
Artist's Statement
Although I paint a variety of subjects, from landscapes, to interiors and portraits, I try to depict a moment in time. Strong shadows and light will always capture my interest, probably more than the subject matter. Watercolor can be a challenging medium, but the unpredictable nature is both its bane and its beauty. There is always more to discover and explore in the never ending mysteries of watercolor.
