About The Artist
Sally Cataldo has always been an artist. Full time employment ignited an intense desire to express herself and her environment through art. Immersing herself in the academic studies of art, she began transferring emotions and thoughts through watercolor. She continues to evolve, experiment, and learn with varied mediums and is challenging herself from viewing the external to expressing the internal. Represented at Highlight Gallery, Mendocino. Published in four contemporary art books and numerous art publications.
Artist's Statement
Sally Cataldo's paintings are an expression of her world through the medium of acrylic, mixed media and watercolor. Visual translations of a world flattened for design, shape, line and color. Letting the art speak louder than subject, expressing her world through the chosen medium. Her work always refers to nature with the interruption of geometry.
