Last Day of Summer
Like many photographers before me, I've always been fascinated by Coney Island. Growing up in California, it is such a stark contrast from the beaches I grew up on. The skyline, rows of highrise concrete buildings dwarfing the amusement park, always felt out of place to me. Yet, I also love how the skylines feels like an extension of the sand, reaching into the blue sky almost mirroring the beach sand meeting the blue ocean.

About The Artist
Sheri’s passion for photography began when she shot her first roll(s) of film on a cross-country road trip in 1993. She has enjoyed a successful photographic career specializing lifestyle, and travel. In her recent work, Sheri circles back to that road trip and revisits analog film processes. She explores platinum /palladium and cyanotype printing methods and pushes boundaries with printing methods that include image transfers, oil paint, and encaustic wax.
