About The Artist
Steve Ziman is a retired air quality scientist who lives in San Rafael. He is a member and past co-president of the Marin Photo Club. He has been taking pictures since he got his first camera almost 50 years ago and moved to digital about 20 years ago. He has traveled worldwide with his camera, both for work and fun, but still finds much to photograph in the Bay Area, California and the west.
Artist's Statement
Photography gives me a way to be creative, and to look more carefully at what is around me. I want to make images that reflect that world and tell a story, whether it be landscape, street, architecture, journalism or anything else that catches my attention.
